Brow Techniques I Offer

Your brows should match your unique style and preferences. Here’s a breakdown of the techniques available:

Nano Hair-stroke Brows (For a Hyper-Realistic Hair Stroke Look)

✔ Creates individual, ultra-fine hair strokes that blend seamlessly with your natural brows.
✔ Ideal for those who want the most natural and subtle enhancement.
✔ Best suited for those who love the look of light, fluffy, or full brows without makeup.

Combination Brows (A Blend of Strokes + Shading for Soft Definition)

✔ Hair strokes in the front transition into a soft-shaded base for added fullness.
✔ Great for those who like a natural but slightly more defined look.
✔ Perfect if you typically fill in your brows lightly with pencil or powder.

Ombre Blush Brows (A Softly Shaded, Makeup-Like Effect)

✔ No strokes—just soft, pixelated shading that fades from light to dark (ombre effect).
✔ Perfect for those who prefer a filled-in, powder-brow look without being harsh.
✔ Best for clients who love defined, glamorous, and polished brows.

Not Sure Which Brow to Choose? Let’s Figure It Out!

Choosing the perfect brow style depends on your lifestyle, preferences, and skin type. Answer these questions to help determine the best fit for you:

  • 🖊 Never? → You’ll love Nano Hairstrokes! It’s the most natural brow style. If you’re not used to seeing shading, an ombré or combination brow may feel too bold at first.

🖊 Regularly? → You may actually prefer a Combination or Ombre Blush Brow! Even if you think you want a natural look, daily brow fillers often crave more definition—so shading may be the best match. Many who start with hairstrokes later request added shading!

  • ✔ Yes! → A shaded technique (Fusion Hybrid or Ombre Blush Brows) will give you a polished look that mimics makeup, so you never have to touch a brow pencil again.

✔ I don’t mind filling them in occasionally. → Nano Hairstrokes will keep your brows looking natural day-to-day, and you can still add makeup for extra glam when you want!

💡 Keep in mind: Even a shaded brow can look soft and natural while still giving you the flexibility to glam it up for special occasions!

  • ✅ Opt for a technique that includes shading! Nano hairstrokes are very fine and may not retain as well in skin with a compromised healing response. A shaded technique will heal more predictably.

  • ✅ Shading is best for you! Hair strokes don’t tend to age well or last as nicely on skin with larger pores or a lot of underlying redness. Shading will provide the best longevity and smoothest results.

  • ✅ Go for a technique that includes shading! UV exposure fades nano hairstrokes much faster. A shaded brow is more durable against sun exposure.

  • For clients with deeper complexions, shading is often recommended for the best, longest-lasting results.

    ✨ Why?

✔ Melanin-rich skin has a faster shedding cycle and more active oil production, which can cause fine hairstrokes to fade or blur more quickly.

✔ A shaded technique ensures better color retention and longevity compared to individual nano strokes.

✔ The skin acts as a veil over pigment, and the darker the skin, the more it softens the final healed result. Shading provides a more visible and defined brow.

💡 Can I still have Nano Hairstrokes?
Yes! A Combination Brow (strokes + shading) can still be an option, depending on your skin’s melanin levels. If you’re unsure, send me a photo of your brows so I can help determine the best approach for you.

The Procedure Process

Each step of the procedure is carefully executed to ensure precision, comfort, and confidence. Ample time is allocated beyond the expected duration, allowing for a relaxed experience without the need to rush.

1. Arrival & Consultation

Upon arrival, a thorough discussion of brow goals will take place. Clients are encouraged to bring reference photos, whether showcasing their typical brow-filling technique or inspiration images. “Before” photos will be taken to document the starting point for comparison after the procedure.

2. Brow Shaping & Mapping

The brows will be cleansed before shaping begins. Using a wax pencil, a customized brow template will be designed to complement natural facial features. This process typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour. Brow symmetry will be assessed from multiple angles—lying down, sitting up, and turning to the side—to ensure balance. Any natural asymmetry will be addressed, with recommendations provided for optimal results.

Once the final design is established, clients will have the opportunity to review and request adjustments. Changes to thickness, length, or overall shape can be made to achieve the desired look.

3. Numbing & Color Selection

A topical anesthetic will be applied to ensure comfort. While the numbing process takes effect, suitable pigment shades will be reviewed. Clients may bring a preferred brow pencil for color reference. This stage also includes a discussion of aftercare instructions and the healing process.

4. Hygiene & Safety Standards

Strict hygiene protocols are followed, with all supplies being single-use and disposable. The pigments used are hypoallergenic and meet EU REACH standards, which are among the most rigorous in the industry. It is important to note that tattoo pigments in the USA are not regulated by the FDA, making adherence to high-quality standards essential.

5. The Tattooing Process

Once numb, the tattooing process will begin. Typically, three passes per brow are completed, with re-numbing applied to the untreated side as needed. Many clients find the process comfortable and relaxing—some even fall asleep. For those with heightened sensitivity, additional numbing time can be accommodated upon request.

6. The Final Result

Upon completion, a beautifully enhanced set of brows will be revealed, providing an effortless, polished look. Many clients express that they wish they had undergone the procedure sooner, as it significantly simplifies their daily routine.

Aftercare Guidelines for Your Brow Procedure

Proper aftercare is essential for achieving the best results. Below are general guidelines to help you plan for your appointment and healing process. These are not full instructions—detailed aftercare directions will be provided along with an aftercare kit at your appointment.

To ensure optimal healing, be mindful of your schedule. For example, avoid booking your procedure right before a vacation that includes sunbathing or swimming.

Keep Brows Dry:
For the first 10 days, avoid getting your brows wet in the shower to prevent disruption of the healing process.

Do Not Disturb:
Refrain from exfoliating, scratching, itching, or picking at any scabs. Allow the scabbing to resolve naturally for proper healing.

Gentle Cleansing:
Avoid cleansing products with acids (glycolic, lactic, AHA), anti-aging ingredients, acne treatments, or exfoliants for 10 days. Use a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser to wash your face during this time.

Fresh Bedding:
Sleep on a clean pillowcase and avoid sleeping on your face for 10 days to minimize irritation.

Limit Physical Activity:
Avoid sweating and heavy exercise for 10 days to prevent excessive moisture and irritation around the brows.

Avoid Heat and Moisture:
Stay away from steamy showers, saunas, and swimming for 10 days to protect your healing brows.

No Makeup or Sunscreen:
Do not apply makeup or sunscreen directly on your brows for 10 days to allow the area to heal properly.

Post-Procedure Treatments:
Refrain from facials, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion for at least 4 weeks following the procedure.

Sun Protection:
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for 4 weeks to protect the newly treated area.

Healing Process Overview

Illustration showing the healing process of Ombre Blush Brows and Nano Hair-Strokes (advanced alternative to microblading) through six stages from Day 1 to Week 8. Displays changes in brow appearance with expressions and commentary for each stage.

The healing process is gradual, but beautiful brows are on the way! Here’s what to expect during each phase:

Day 1:
Brows may appear bold and vivid right after the procedure. Expect softening of about 30-40%, along with slight shrinkage. The colors may seem warmer due to skin irritation and redness. Minimal swelling can occur, depending on skin sensitivity.

Days 2-4:
During these days, your brows will appear darker than Day 1. This is completely normal, as the pigment undergoes oxidation and settles into the skin, resulting in a cooler, more natural color.

Days 4-10:
Flaking typically begins as the skin heals. This is a natural part of the process, where the skin treats the tattooed area like a wound. Do not pick at the flakes, as this can cause pigment loss or scarring. Let the brows flake naturally for optimal healing.

Days 10-28:
At this stage, the brows will appear much lighter due to the skin healing over the design. This phase, known as “ghosting,” happens when the pigment is still present under an extra layer of skin, but not fully visible.

Weeks 4-6:
The true results start to emerge as the pigment becomes more visible again. You’ll begin to see how your brows will look in the long term.

Week 8:
By Week 8, your brows will be fully healed, and the final results will be clear. Any slight adjustments, if needed, can be addressed during your Color Boost session.
